The project “Time Machine. Poznań of Bolesław the Brave - Digital Stronghold Reconstruction”, funded by the Self-Government of the Wielkopolska Region, brings the 11th-century island of Ostrów Tumski back to life in a completely new way.
With our desktop application, it is possible to explore a virtual reconstruction of the early Piast stronghold, moving freely through architectural elements that no longer exist today. As a virtual visitor, you can walk along the ramparts, pass through the gates, enter the ducal palatium, and visit the pre-Romanesque cathedral. Many of the reconstructed structures also include descriptions available directly during the virtual tour.
The desktop application is already available for download (link below), and the mobile app will be released soon. Follow our website and social media channels for ongoing updates.
Installation instructions:
Download the zipped folder from the link below.
Extract the files.
Run the WehikulCzasu.exe file.
That’s it!
Note: On some devices, a warning about an unknown file origin may appear. If this happens, simply select “More info” and then “Run anyway.”

E – interaction, context menu
