GETTING HERE

Accessibility

We aim to provide a friendly and accessible environment for all audiences. People with disabilities are welcome in our Museum.

Most of the exhibitions are accessible by wheelchair and can be reached by a lift. The access to the lift is provided by a wheelchair ramp installed on the ground floor. We also have a stair climber.

The most convenient entrance to the Museum for wheelchair users is from Klasztorna Street, through the courtyard. It is also the closest spot where you can get by car.

If you enter the Museum from Wodna Street (the main entrance) and need assistance, please use the push-button installed at the door. You can count on the help of our staff at the entrance.

Larger groups of wheelchair users are asked to inform us in advance about their plans to visit the Museum by contacting the Museum ticket office (phone +48 61 852 82 51, ext. 206).

The Museum has a wheelchair-accessible toilet. It is located next to the cloakroom, on level -1.

Visually impaired and blind visitors are allowed to enter the Museum with a guide/assistance dog. For visiting tour, we recommend the audio guide - available both in Polish and English versions.

Museum of the Young Explorer - a visiting route for children - is partly adapted for visually impaired visitors. We provide descriptions in Braille and replicas of artefacts which can be explored by touch.

Our qualified staff can prepare a special educational offer for groups, both children and adults. Please contact us by e-mail: edukacja.map@gmail.com or by phone: +48 61 85 28 251, ext. 113.

Disabled persons, together with their carers, are entitled to a concessionary ticket.
