Curatorial Team:

dr hab. Agnieszka Mączyńska 

An archaeologist nd certified curator at the Archaeological Museum in Poznań. Since 2004, the head of the Exhibitions and Education Department. She specialises in Egyptian
archaeology from the Neolithic period to the early Old Kingdom, as well as in the analysis of ceramic vessels. She is the author of numerous scholarly publications and an active participant in international archaeological expeditions, including at Tell el-Farkha and Naqada. As a co-author of the exhibition concept, she is responsible for its curatorial
oversight and cooperation with partners in Berlin.

 

mgr Kamila Dolata-Goszcz

 

An archaeologist and museum professional, since 2004 affiliated with the Archaeological
Museum in Poznań, where she holds the position of Chief Cataloguer of the Museum
Collections. A dedicated populariser of knowledge on ancient Egyptian history, she has
curated multiple temporary and permanent exhibitions. In her role as co-author of the
exhibition concept, she oversees key matters regarding object loans and conservation.


dr Robert Kuhn

An Egyptologist and archaeologist, since 2021 the curator of the Prehistoric, Early Dynastic
and Old Kingdom collections, as well as the archive at the Egyptian Museum and Papyrus
Collection in Berlin. An experienced field researcher (including work in Abydos and Aswan),
he specialises in the material culture of early Egypt and provenance studies. His role in the
exhibition includes selecting artefacts from the Berlin collections and providing scholarly
oversight of the objects on loan to Poznań.

 

Education Team:

mgr Joanna Teska

An assistant curator in the Exhibitions and Education Department at the Archaeological Museum in Poznań. An archaeologist and experienced educator specialising in work with children and young people. Within the project, she is responsible for developing a visitor trail for younger audiences, producing educational materials, and contributing to the development of a narrative audio guide. She also ensures the exhibition is accessible to visitors with additional needs.


mgr Lena Kostkowska

An archaeologist and educator in the Exhibitions and Education Department at the Archaeological Museum in Poznań. She specialises in developing modern educational programmes for preschool and early primary school groups. Within the team, she is responsible for designing exhibition-related workshops and co-creating the educational narrative, bringing the everyday lives of ancient Egyptians to life in an accessible, engaging way.
