Museum classes

Museum classes

Currently, the Archaeological Museum in Poznań offers classes for preschool and school children. Our aim is to popularise archaeology and broaden pupil’s knowledge of the prehistory of Poland and ancient civilisations.

Museum education is both a valuable complement to classroom teaching and a way of learning completely new information. We offer museum classes conducted by archaeologists and historians with experience in promoting archaeology. The lessons are of a popular-science character, and they are dedicated for specific age groups. We teach mainly through practical demonstration, experiments, work with artefacts, and using different multimedia.

The following topics can be taught in English:

- "Brain through the nose", a guide of the Egyptian embalmer
- Egyptian beauty salon
- Mesopotamian math quiz
- Sumerians - civilisation inventors
- Dragon heart and wolf skin - tales from the Viking world
