Educational events organised in our Museum since 2003, have been invariably attracting the attention of archaeology enthusiasts. Each of the so-called weekends with archaeology is focused around one theme, often related to our permanent or temporary exhibitions. So far, we have organised events concerning a wide range of topics, including Ancient Egypt, the Middle Ages, Ireland, the work of archaeologists, and treasures of the past, to name only a few.
The “weekends with archaeology” are dedicated people of all ages, with a special focus on families with children. The youngest audience can take part in workshops, in which they learn about archaeology through playing, with fun and engaging activities. For teenagers and adults, we offer popular-science lectures and presentations. Additional attractions of the weekends are the projections of archaeology-related films.
