From 11 June to 16 August 2026, we invite you to visit the exhibition "Zyndram’s Hill: A Mysterious 3,700-Year-Old Fortress".

Created by Silesian Museum in collaboration with Jagiellonian University, the exhibition presents the results of archaeological research conducted since 2015 at Zyndram's Hill in Maszkowice (southern Poland), where archaeologists uncovered monumental fortifications dating back nearly 3700 years. On display are artefacts made of clay, bronze, antler, bone, and amber from both the Bronze Age and later phases of the site's occupation during the Iron Age.

Through modern multimedia presentations and detailed reconstructions, visitors can explore the prehistoric settlement, meet its inhabitants, and discover the secrets of its impressive defensive walls.

The exhibition has been recognised by both experts and the public, winning the Archaeological Sensations 2025 award in the Best Temporary Exhibition 2025 category, organised by Archeologia Żywa.
