The exhibition from the series "Close encounters with..." explores the theme of legendary creatures and their depictions on archaeological monuments. It tells the story of mythical creatures that have been present in legends and bestiaries since ancient times. They are encountered among the decorative motifs of buildings, interiors and everyday objects.
The visitors to the exhibition are invited to take a closer look at archaeological artefacts featuring fantastic creatures. Accompanying posters provide in-depth information on these beings and shed light on their symbolic meaning.
